The Llanelli Grammar School Old Boys and Graig Former Pupils Association have made a generous donation to help the Llanelli Veterans Association continue their work within the community.
Presenting a cheque of £250 to Bob Thomas businessman George Parker MBE, formerly of Parker Plant Hire said that the veterans did incredibly good work within Llanelli and had excelled in organising events to remember those who had fallen during war.
Mr Parker told the members of the association that they would also be receiving £1,000 towards a planned trip to Holland. Mr Parker has been extremely generous to the association on a personal level for many years and continues to research the history of the men and women who served during the First and Second World Wars. Money has been raised by the Llanelli Grammar School Old Boys and Graig Former Pupils Association and by Loud Applause Rising Stars (LARS).
