About our 31st March Lunchtime speaker – Steve David
Steve David is a very popular and entertaining Llanelli born speaker who attended our School during the Dennis Jones headship years. He progressed to study History at Cardiff University before completing an Mphil in Medieval History at Swansea. Over the years he has worked in adult education, latterly as a senior lecturer with Adult Learning Wales.
Steve has published two books on medieval history through Amberley and has another “ The Rise of the Red Dragon = Wales and the Wars of the Roses” due out later this year. He is a well-respected and in demand visiting lecturer with the Richard III Society and the Mortimer History Society amongst others and his works have been published in a number of British and European journals.
He currently lives in Port Talbot with his wife Rose, also from Llanelli, but admits to have been a Swansea season ticket holder for 37 years. Steve regularly returns to Llanelli to offer rich insights into figures and events that shaped the UK’s destiny.
