1926 School Play, ”You Never Can Tell” by Bernard Shaw

 

A leading part was played in this production by the young Clifford Evans , later to have  a very  successful career in Stage and Film. Clifford ( 1911 to 1985) was a pupil at the school from 1923 to 1929.After passing his School Certificate Examination ,he left his home in Capel Road, Llanelli to travel to London to begin his studies  at RADA ( Royal Academy of Dramatic Art)

He was cast in the play by Dr. Afon Jones, Latin Teacher  and Morgan Rees, – who also encouraged him to pursue a career as an actor .

The Head Teacher at the time ( 1917 to 1937 )was Griff J Thomas, M.A. Oxford Scholar, Modern Languages and Classics , Born 1871 died 1966 aged 95.
