Message from the Chairman

Following my note of the 23rd October 2023,

I’m pleased to inform you that a lunch-time event has been arranged for the 8th March at Plas Llanelly House. It will include an optional pre-lunch tour of the Parish Church at 12:00 Noon followed by lunch at 12:30 for 13:00 before a talk by Lord Leslie Griffiths of Burry Port.

Lord Griffiths’ talk is entitled “James Buckley and Emeline Pankhurst – fighting their corners.”

Menu for lunch at Llanelly House is:

Chicken Supreme with mashed potato, roasted carrots & and tender-stem broccoli  (with vegetarian option of Nut Roast with mashed potato, roasted carrots & and tender-stem broccoli

Fruit Crumble and custard followed by Coffee or Tea

Tickets are £20 per head are available from the secretary at secretary@llanelliboysgrammar.com and advise if you want to join the tour.

As there is a limit of 60 persons (imposed for H&S reasons) for the first-floor dining room, tickets will be available on a first come/first served basis to achieve this total.

It is also noted that the lift access to the first floor of Llanelly House will not be available on this date but the stairway is relatively shallow with a return to the first floor, at mid-flight.
