Mr. R I Denis Jones was a former pupil in the School during the years 1937 to 1943., the whole School of some 550 boys and 33 members of Staff being in Marble Hall Road – Yr Ysgol ar y Bryn, T V Shaw being the  Headmaster. In 1956 Denis Jones became a member of the Staff, this after many years in H.M. Forces, with service abroad, a period of study @ University of Wales and Dublin, and a period of teaching at the Ogmore Vale Grammar School. In 1965 Denis Jones left to become Headmaster at Burry Port Secondary Modern School, followed by being  Headmaster at  Stradey Secondary then  Queen Elizabeth Grammar School for boys, returning as Headmaster to  Llanelli Grammar School in 1973. In 1977 the School became the Graig Comprehensive and Mr. Jones continued as Headmaster until retirement in 1990
