Memorial Service, November 7th 1946, attended by the whole Boys’ Grammar School and Guests, at the Parish Church. Llanelly. Service replicated 11 Nov 2020 by Former Pupils – see ”Military History”.

The above  record is from the 1946 Christmas School Magazine and  records a  Memorial Service held  7th November 1946. The  whole School and several visitors attended a service held in Llanelly Parish Church, to commemorate  the 47 Former Pupils and two members of Staff who lost their lives in WW1 and the 59 former pupils who fell in WW2. Included in the Service was an address by  the Headmaster Mr. T.V. Shaw on the text ”Faithful unto death” and read the Roll of Honour . 

Almost Seventy Five years later on  November 11th 2020 some former pupils attended a further  Memorial Service, again held at the Parish Church,  in commemoration of these same pupils and Staff who fell in the two World Wars
